DISTSS Forum: Good Practice in Client Consultation

Client consultation is more than just client feedback, it requires involving clients in key decision making processes and service development.

The current Disability State Plan and Service Standards outline the expectations regarding the participation of clients and the support required from services to ensure meaningful input.

The short forum will explore the following:

  1. DHS expectations regarding service responsibility in this area
  2. How to support clients with complex needs to meaningfully participate
  3. The benefits of developing and implementing a client consultation plan
  4. Resources available
  5. Examples of Good Practice

Key note speakers include:
