A Terrific Learning Opportunity for Boards
Leadership from the Board is key to ongoing viability and success as the changes emerging from the new Disability Act 2006 and Quality Framework impact on your organisation.If you are a community based agency funded by DHS, your Board needs to be ready to support these changes and be prepared for Independent Monitoring commencing this year.
After very positive feedback from Disability Services across Victoria, NDS (National Disability Services Victoria) and field (Furthering Inclusive Learning & Development) are pleased to announce another round of workshop sessions in:
Enhancing Good Governance
Workshops are available now to all DHS Regions. Places are limited.
The key aims of each session are to ensure that boards are:
- aware of their governance responsibilities
- up to date with current legislation and service expectations
- up to date with current expectations of the Victorian Government
- fully prepared for forthcoming independent quality monitoring
- aware of currently available free resources
Workshops will be available from July 2008 until June 2010
Cost
For Organisations with:
- $1 million or less Disability Services
Division Funding – FREE
- $1 million to $3 million, $330 GST inclusive
- Greater than $3 million, $770 GST inclusive
Venue & Time
Workshops will be offered at your organization, at a time that suits your Board, evenings included.

specifically tailored to meet the needs of each Board, and include the following:
